Coverage
Where the crews work
Parksville Roofing covers two incorporated municipalities and three Regional District of Nanaimo electoral areas along the Oceanside coast. BC Building Code Table C-2 tabulates climatic design values for only two communities on this stretch, and those two rows differ by 5 mm of one-day design rain and 0.03 kPa of hourly wind pressure. Outside the two municipalities the Regional District of Nanaimo governs building permits.
Coverage crosses five jurisdictions in about forty kilometres, and which one a property sits in changes both the permit answer and the design figures a roof gets specified against.
Areas we serve
- Qualicum BeachHigher tabulated design rain and wind than anywhere else covered here, plus a separate municipal building bylaw that never mentions roofing.
- Errington and CoombsElectoral Area F acreages under heavy conifer canopy, where the maintenance interval matters more than the covering and the RDN permit exemption applies.
- Nanoose BayElectoral Area E, where exposure swings from rocky open coast to a sheltered harbour estuary inside a single community.
- French CreekElectoral Area G shoreline sitting between the only two tabulated locations on this coast, with no design values of its own.
Also covered: Nanoose, Fairwinds and Red Gap in Electoral Area E; Coombs, Hilliers, Errington, Whiskey Creek and Meadowood in Electoral Area F; and San Pareil, French Creek and Dashwood in Electoral Area G. Anything outside those areas is quoted case by case.
Jurisdiction and exposure both change within a few kilometres here. Request a free quote and the assessment names which authority governs and which figures apply to the specific property.
